Our approach

Our expert approach has been refined over the past 30 years, but our passion for high quality has never wavered. Whether we are completely designing and fitting the upholstery for a fleet of superyachts or reupholstering the interior for a much-loved family dayboat, we always follow the same meticulous approach. This ensures all customers, no matter how big or small, get the same high-quality experience from Esteem. With Steve at the helm of our professional team, we are able to consult and deliver solutions for almost anything.

1. Project briefing

After you’ve got in touch with us over the phone or via email, we typically suggest that one of our team come to meet you in person and see your boat (/vehicle /property). This gives us a chance to ensure we truly understand the scope of the project and download a full brief with specific requirements from you. We’ll start with initial observations about what will be the best solution to your needs.

2. Finalising the details

We’ll create a bespoke approach which will work best for your boat as well as share fabric & foam options which are fit for purpose. Our extensive experience means we can help you best utilise the space and design for your boat. After you have finalised your preferences, we are able to confirm a detailed quote with costs and a timeline for the project.

3. Securing your booking

Following approval of the suggested specifications, cost and timeframe we ask for a deposit to be paid in order to secure your booking. The materials for your project will then be ordered and the project will begin according to the agreed timeline.

4. Preparation & patterns

If we’re doing a refit for you, the existing upholstery will be removed and then templates created for your boat (/vehicle). After templating, new foam or seating will be made and checked in position on the boat. Subsequently we will pattern and create the new bespoke covers in your chosen materials.

5. Final fit-out

The final stage is to fit the new upholstery on your boat. We’ll always make sure to check to ensure the fit is perfect and make any alterations if required. After the work is complete, we love to take photos for our records and then the final balance is sent for payment.
